For all who are beloved. Hope these are helpful this coming Valentine’s Day as you plan surprises for loved ones! (For those who haven’t yet read Little Women or the Courtship of Jo March, I haven’t made a note of who said these lines to whom so as not to spoil the stories :))
All the days of my life
An encouraging word
A note of thanks
A passionate plea
For one who makes life beautiful
For richer or poorer
Waiting for you
An inspiring friendship
Why I love him
The inevitability of love
Esteem and gratitude
Cannot be bought, cannot be forced
All in my being
Incomparable
Little Women is available to read for free via Project Gutenberg, and the Courtship of Jo March is available as an eBook (Scribd offers readers a free 30 day trial) and paperback.
Dear Trix,
I know we all have our favorite novel that we adore so much that it enables us to read it over and over again (mine is ‘Out of The Silent Planet’ by C.S. Lewis), but I must know: how often, and how many times you have read ‘Little Women’? I think that to be able to blog about it consistently you must either have an excellent recollection of the novel from your first reading of it, or you must pick it up every morning like a devotional. 🙂
I love your blog! Keep it up!

Hi, thank you so much for taking the time to read my blog and for your encouraging comments! To be honest I haven’t kept count of how many times I’ve read it, though the first time was when I was 14, and I have read it multiple times since then (Part 1 a lot more than Part 2), usually around Christmas time, or sometimes I’ll read favorite chapters when the mood takes me at other times of year (for example, I really love the chapter “Being Neighborly,” so that’s gotten more re-reads than other parts of the novel).
